In 2005 Speedpac (a long time service provider to UMD) were contracted by UMD to carry out all versioning rework (applying price points) and versioned pick pack and despatch campaigns for their DVD articles. A year later Speedpac also set up a dedicated DVD refurbishment service for Universal, receiving unsold / returned stock from UMD and returning it to pristine condition ready for re-sale. Versioning Price point application, barcode application, and security tag application on several million of units of DVD's over several thousand articles Pick pack and despatch Speedpac picked, packed and despatched versioned or generic (no price-point) items for sales campaigns going to major retailers including Asda, Matalan, and Somerfields. Refurbishment Speedpac refurbished stock returned from stores back into pristine condition, then receipt this stock onto their system giving UMD visibility of it and the option to use the refurbished stock rather than manufacture more Storage
Other rework Speedpac also built Free Standing Display Units, counter packs, built box-sets, shrink and over-wrapped and carried out many other types of rework |
